Over the weekend I swapped my standard SV650 shock for a model from a Kawasaki ZX636, shock model B1H. Though the C1H, from the later models should also fit in a similar way.Now as you are going to remove the shock you need to remove the load from it, so you will need to either suspend the bike in some way. As I have fitted the ZX 636 shock to my SV this has meant that I have had to move my battery up, due to this there is not much room for my fuse box. So in order to get it to fit under the rear seat rather then the front I've had to extend it, which as you can see is no quick task. Jax is now insured on the SV, so she took it out for a first time spin the other day. Though Jax told me I need to get the 'almost non-exsistant' back break sorted, I did't notice as I don't really use it.

Well the latest Supermarket fuel wars are still going on, with the price of unleaded dropping to a new low of 86.9 ppl. Something I haven't seen in a while, so much so I was shocked when I saw the sign riding to another petrol station to confrim the price wasn't a mistake (would have gone back if it was). I hope it stays like this as its saving me a few bob each month.

Look, new lid... Looks nice and the integrated dark visor is handy, though I have noticed that it does fog up a bit. Seems to get allot of air flowing though it even when all the vents are shut though that might be because of the anti-fog system for the main 'clear' visor. I have noticed a bit on noise even with my plugs in, but I will see what it like with out them on a short journey.The other

Just a few pic's of the lovely wife on her Duke. It broke down today and as she was coasting the bike to a stop she waved some bloke in a car past. For some reason he got impatient about this and gunned it past, clipping the bike and knocking it over. Over took some cars past 'Bird World' (A325) on my way to work this morning, where the road goes in to a dip, pulled in front of the traffic, before the lines in the road went solid while rolling off the throttle. Well I'm doing 130 miles a day... its ruined 3 bikes (maybe not directly)... over the last 1 and half years. So here are a few things I have to say about my experiences.Snow...Its was bloody cold and I would recommend decent gear and lots of layers. On the way to work this morning I was coming round the large Farnham roundabout that splits from 2 lanes to 3. So seeing as I was stuck behind 2 cars and a slow moving van/bus I decided to get past in the 3rd outside lane. Well the warmer weather appears to be on its way, with me getting more confidence on the roads now. So much so I'm throwing the bike around a lot more and I even touched the toe of my boot down as I flipped it round a round-about. Even though my fuel experiment is on hold at the moment while I wait for warmer weather, I'm still doing other things. The last one was seeing how far I can get on a 'tank' of petrol. The SV has a fuel system that states when the light starts flashing you need to start looking for more fuel. Once it moves on to solid its time to find petrol or stand at the side of the road. Well its been a very busy weekend for Helga, she's had a oil change which involved her having the belly pan removed. Which I then discovered a oil leak round the clutch cover, looks like when its been replaced sometime before the 'ring' had been crimped. Luckily I was at my mate Taz's gaff and he was able to make me a new ring and put the cover back on minimum of fuss. I didn't have time to clean

Still cold.Well after riding the bike how I felt I seem to have manged to get the reserve light to come on, it was at 133.4 miles and I did take some back roads home. I've been running the bike alot harder then the last few days, so lets see how it affected the MPG.(Mpg 47.27) KM per Litre:16.73 Pence per mile:9.32 for 135.8miles £12.66So it looks like I lost about 5 miles per gallon, not bad.

Just lately my GT has be running rather rough, possibley due to the cold weather and carb icing and possibly bad spark plugs. This is giving me some rather awfull fueling.
